We’re overjoyed to welcome Kyle to the team, and wanted you all to get to know him a little better. So, like any good detective would, we grilled him with our toughest questions to find out who he really is behind that giant smile of his.
What brings you to Fluid? And what’s your background in advertising?
I’ve always had a vision of how the ideal ad agency would behave, and I wanted the chance to build something similar. Plus, Ryan Anderson, Ryan Beck and the team here at Fluid are awesome. Who wouldn’t want to join this group?
Prior to Fluid, I worked for Boncom, Richter7 and R&R Partners, where I was Director of Strategy and Group Creative Director.
Describe your philosophy on advertising in six words or less.
Make work that people talk about.
What do you want written on your tombstone?
This time, we think he’s dead.
What’s your favorite outdoor activity?
Golf. But I don’t do it nearly enough.
Would you rather have wings or fins? Why?
Wings. Unless you’re swimming, fins would be incredibly inconvenient. And I’m scuba certified, so been there, done that.
What was the last song you listened to?
“Will You Spin for Me” by Shoes. (Not a favorite song or anything, it was just playing as I turned off the car and came into work.) About as ‘80s as a song can get.
And finally, is a calzone a sandwich? Defend your answer.
Assuming a pita is a sandwich, I think you have to lump in the calzone. That does, however, also make Hot Pockets a sandwich, which somehow cheapens the entire category.
It’s only been a few weeks, but we’re already really enjoying working with Kyle, and we bet you would, too. Not sure about his taste in music, though…
