How to Make Home Services Sell on Social

8 May, 2017 McKell Naegle

One way for you to stand out in the home services industry is by keeping an updated social media profile.

While it may sound intimidating, we have some tips that can help you!

A picture is worth a thousand words.

One of the first things people will notice about your social profiles are your pictures. If your photos are outdated, generic, out of focus, or boring, you won’t make a good first impression. This is especially important in the home services industry as your pictures will reflect the quality of your work. It’s also important to remember to keep your photos consistent with your brand. Your profile pictures and cover photos should pair well together and should give your viewers information about your business.

Promote your professional portfolio.

The home service industry has many segments. All of which require great skill and knowledge. Customers are looking to hire the best of the best so it is important to promote your work, your profile of clients, customer reviews, etc. This will help you gain their trust. It will increase the level of their confidence in you, your expertise, and your reliability. This will ultimately lead you to getting more clients.

Keep an active online presence.

Many people turn to the internet when they want to research a company or product and one of the first places they will go (besides your website) are your social profiles. This is a perfect opportunity to keep your customers up to date about deals, events, or specials going on at your company. Social media pages need to be updated and checked daily in order for them to work effectively.

Engage with customers.

Engaging with your customers is vital in any marketing strategy, but especially on social media. When people comment or post on your social profiles, they expect a quick response or follow up. By not replying, you could be losing potential customers who will likely switch to a competitor if you are not responsive. Interacting with your customers will also help you relate to them on a personal level and build customer loyalty. This will also help you realize what your customers really want and the best way to attract new customers leading to more brand awareness.

Social media is important. If you aren’t doing it, your competitors are and will likely steal your customers. So get out there and give it a go!
