Teaching Non-Profits To Use Social Media

Last week, Fluid presented at Utah NonProfits Association on social media and Web 2.0. The training was a success with many nonprofit organizations from the Greater Salt Lake area in attendance.

During the presentation Fluid provided Utah nonprofit organizations with many examples and case studies of of how other nonprofits in Utah and around the country have successfully used social media to (1) raise funds, (2) increase awareness about their specific cause, (3) and help advocates of the cause spread their message. Fluid also talked about specific uses of the social networks Facebook and Twitter for nonprofits.

The Salt Lake Tribune also attended the training and wrote an article published Friday, May 15th, entitled “Nonprofits hope to find new patrons via Facebook and Twitter.” The article can be found on the Tribune’s website: http://www.sltrib.com/news/ci_12372325.
