Fluid Ad Of The Week – Ferbruary Recap

Below are some of the finest adverts the world has ever seen. Fluid employees choose their favorite commercials and we share them with you weekly. Check out this months compilation of the Fluid Ad of The Week.

Acura | Point of View

For this weeks Fluid Ad of The Week we chose to do the Acura commercial called Point of View. This commercial is exciting, its fun, its innovative and it shows Acura as an entire brand about how safe it is, and cutting edge and especially how exciting it is that they are bringing back the Acura NSX, the super car of the 90’s.

TD Bank | Automates Thank You Machine (ATM)

So I chose TD Banks Automated Thank You Machine (ATM) campaign from 2014 as this week’s Fluid Ad of The Week. I chose this older campaign because I think its so relevant even today. We talk a lot about segmentation and one to one ad delivery and this campaign epitomizes that. In one situation they actually give a man the opportunity to throw a pitch out at the game for his favorite baseball team. Its just incredible the efforts they put into this. It doesn’t look like a professional ad. I think that is so important. So many banks and other services that we work with are stuck in the corporate-esque look and feel. TD Bank broke the mold with this one and reaps the benefits of it. It was viewed over 35 million times in less than a week. A handful of customers were given a gift and the comments, like, shares and everything were in the millions in reach. It’s just an absolutely amazing campaign and I think that the emotional aspect of it is really cool. Everybody can be doing this. I encourage you to take a look and see how you can do this with your company.

Super Bowl

One of my favorite commercials from the Super Bow was Avocados From Mexico, which I didn’t actually know was a brand until now. It has aliens in space making fun of human pop culture and just how much we love guacamole.

Of the Super Bowl ads that I saw my favorite was the Audi commercial. I liked it because it actually told a story and it evokes some kind of emotion and it actually had, in my opinion, a good production value and the cinematography was really great with it.

I do not like talking animals in any way, which was a majority of the Super Bowl ads so my least favorite by far was the Mountain Dew Kickstarter ad with the puppy baby monkey. It was one of the most disturbing things I have ever seen.

Puppy. Monkey. Baby. It’s a weird commercial that I like more and more each time I see it.  The first time that I saw it, it was frightening but for some reason it has really grown on me and those are three of my favorite things.
